Math Express! New Edition

Q1: I installed your Math Express! New Edition on my system. When I attempt to run the program, a message window appears with the message "You have performed an illegal operation".
A1:

For PC users, uninstall Math Express! New Edition and disable your anti-virus program. Once the anti-virus program is disabled, insert one of the CD's into your CD-ROM drive. Follow the installation instructions and when finished installing, start the program.

Q2: I am trying to start Math Express and it won't let me get past the initial sign in screen. (the one where it asks you to type in your name)
A2: In this sign in screen, there are ten lines, with a blank space next to each number. Move your mouse over any of the ten blank spaces. After you have clicked on the space, a white box will appear with a blinking cursor inside. Type in your name and click done.

Q3: Math Express loaded, but the screen is blurry.
A3: For PC users, change your color setting to 256 colors. If you are using 256 colors and this occurs, change it to High Color (16 bit).

Q4: My installed the program with no problems, but when I run the program, the sound is very choppy.
A4:

For Windows® 98 users: The choppy sound that you are experiencing are related to the A3D function. To resolve this, go to Control Panel and double-click on Multimedia. Within the Audio panel, Playback, click on Advanced Properties. Click the Performance panel and set Hardware Acceleration to Basic. Set Sample Rate Conversion Quality to the middle notch Improved sample rate converter.

OR

Please make sure that your sound/audio card is Sound Blaster compatible. This is very important to see if it is compatible or not. Our programs are only compatible with Sound Blaster sound cards.
