Math Express!

Q1: I installed your Math Express on my system. When I attempt to run the program, a message window appears with the message "Script Error: Handler not defined #FileIO".
A1: For Macintosh users:
Please check one of two things:
1. Make sure that the CD-ROM disc remains in the CD-ROM drive.
2. Make sure that you have double clicked on the START icon located on your Hard Drive. (At the beginning, the program will ask you to drag the "Drag Me into HD" icon to your Hard Drive, after you have done so, then go to your Hard Drive and double click on the "Drag Me into HD" icon. At this point, you will see the START icon, then double click on the START icon located on the Hard Drive to begin the program.)

For PC users:

1. The program ONLY works for Windows® 3.1, Windows® 95, and Windows® 98. It will not work for Windows® NT. If you tried to run the program using Windows® NT, an error message will appear.
OR
2. Try reinstalling the program and rebooting your computer.

Q2: I am trying to start Math Express and it won't let me get past the initial sign in screen. (the one where it asks you to type in your name)
A2: In this sign in screen, there are ten lines, with a blank space next to each number. Move your mouse over any of the ten blank spaces. After you have clicked on the space, a white box will appear with a blinking cursor inside. Type in your name and click done.

Q3: Math Express loaded, but the screen is blurry.
A3: For PC users, change your color setting to 256 colors. If you are using 256 colors and this occurs, change it to High Color (16 bit).

Q4: Whenever I enter the program, my computer states that the program has performed an illegal operation and must be turned off.
A4: This occurs because the program has a conflict with your color settings. For PC users, change your color setting to 256 colors. If you are using 256 colors and this occurs, change it to High Color (16 bit).

Q5: How can I pause on the page that I am currently in?
A5: Click on the mute button, which is on the right side of the screen, and you will stay on that page until you click on the forward or backward button.
