| Q1: |
If my system is 7.5.3 or lower, what should I do?
|
| A1: |
If you are running System 7.5.3 or lower, you should upgrade to System
7.5.5. System 7.5.5 is a set of system software enhancements that improves the reliability
and performance of all Mac OS compatible computers. If you are using a system software
version prior to System 7.5.3, you must upgrade to System 7.5.3 before you upgrade to
System 7.5.5. You can download the 7.5.3 and 7.5.5 updates free off of the internet.
Note: If your computer is a Macintosh Performa 5260 with an operating
system lower than System 7.5.5, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to System 7.5.5. |
| Q2: |
What should I do if I get a "Memory is low!"
message within the program or if the program is running slowly?
|
| A2: |
Those might be signs that your system is low in memory. To solve the
problem, try the following:
- Close any applications that you are not working with.
- Free up some disk space. Some applications use free disk space to temporarily store
information that does not fit into memory. When the free disk space is low, the system may
run out of available resources.
- Quit and restart the program.
- Locate the subject icon and click on it once to highlight it. Go to File and
then Get info. Under the memory section, make sure that the preferred
size is at least 8MB (8000KB).
